Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I book your services for my wedding/event?
A: Simply email me or contact me by phone, with thedate of your event, the time, location, and the number of people that need services. I will confirm with you, whether I'm available. Once I have received both your contract AND your booking deposit, your date is confirmed/booked. (Please note that all credit card transactions are subject to a processing fee). Please note that gratuity IS NOT included in any of my prices.
Q: Do you offer consultations (aka "trial runs")?
A: Yes, I prefer to refer them as "design sessions", because we are designing your wedding day look TOGETHER. The process can take up to 3 HOURS, and is $175. This is an optional service that is not included in the price for wedding day makeup on-location, and is available at your request. Many of my brides ask for a design session to be scheduled a few weeks or months prior to their wedding, and they book the date for the design session at the same time that they reserve their wedding date with me. Whether you desire a design session with me prior to the wedding or not, you can definitely count on looking gorgeous for your special day - your happiness and beauty (and did I mention fabulous wedding pictures?) is my top priority, and I always bring the necessary tools with me on-location, to create virtually any wedding-day look that you could dream of!
Q: Do you do Airbrush makeup?
A: YES. I specialize in Airbrush makeup. All of my wedding work has been done using Airbrush, because it lasts longer and feels AMAZINGLY light to wear, does not "sweat off" or look cakey. All my South Florida brides LOVE it!
Q: What services do you offer?
A: Hair Styling/Cut, Makeup Artistry, Skin Care (Facials), Xtreme Lashes, Lash & Brow Tinting. Skin Care and Xtreme Lashes services are offered in my studio by appointment ONLY. Please call 954-242-2888 for more information, or you can book an appointment online.
Q: Do you do Hair Extensions?
A: Yes, I do. I can provide temporary, color-matched clip-in extensions for either length or volume. Please note: a short, in-person consultation is necessary before receiving hair extensions. All extensions used are best quality 100% Human Hair.
Q: Do you travel to my location or do I have to come to you?
A: With the exception of Consultation/Design Session and Xtreme Lashes application, I am happy to accomodate you on-location.
Q: Do you stay to do touchups on the bride until she's ready to walk down the aisle?
A: Depending on your contract, and the timing of your specific wedding day, you may want me to stay to do touchups right until you are ready to walk down the aisle. This is optional, and not really necessary unless you will be taking pictures OUTSIDE, prior to the wedding. If this is the case, yes, I can stay for up to three hours after everyone is done with their hair and makeup, and touch up the bride until she is ready to walk down the aisle. Please Note: ADDITIONAL FEES WILL APPLY.
Q: Is there a booking minimum?
A: Yes. There is a $550 minimum to book my services. This means that at least three people will be receiving hair and/or makeup. Or, if the services are for the bride only, she will be receiving hair and makeup as well as Hair Extensions or Xtreme Lashes prior to the wedding.
Q: Can you accomodate large bridal parties (i.e. 6 bridesmaids, flowergirl, mother of the bride) in addition to the bride?
A: Yes, I can. I will need to hire an additional hairstylist (I have two that I work with frequently) to come on-location to you. There is an additional $35 fee, because I will need to pull them out of the salon for most of the day and pay for their travel in their own vehicle.
Q: Could you please send me a price list?
A: All of my rates are available in the "Rates & Services" section.
Q: Is there a Travel Fee?
A: Within Miami/Dade/Broward, there is no additional travel fee. However, if I am traveling to Palm Beach county, Boca Raton (or farther north), or down to The Keys, there IS an additional fee.
Q: What do you do in your spare time? (yes, many people ask me!)
A: I attend beauty industry-related workshops & seminars; read books & magazines to learn all the hottest, up-to-date new techniques and trends in Beauty, Makeup and Hair Styling, in order to better make YOU, (my lovely client), look your very BEST and most BEAUTIFULl! :)
Q: What kind of makeup do you use?
A: I use the very best products appropriate for you, depending on your skin type and the look that you want. Obviously, I will use a different kind of foundation makeup for the Grandmother of the Bride, than I would for the Bride herself.
Q: Do you use M.A.C?
A: Yes, I do. M.A.C is one of the many brands that you will find in my kit. All of my products are of the highest quality, do not contain animal ingredients and are not tested on animals - I do NOT use "drugstore makeup", as many artists do, in order to 'save money'. I strongly believe you can ONLY get the very best results, by using the best products!
Q: Do you have experience with Ethnic/Asian/Acne/Mature skin types?
A: Absolutely!! I specialize in custom-blended makeup, to match any skin tone, no matter how dark or light. And I LOVE working on all the many different shades and tones of beauty! I also have a full range of professional skin care products that I use to prepare delicate, mature skin or sensitive, acne-prone skin before makeup application, to acheive the very best results.
Q: How long will my makeup stay on?
A: If I have applied your makeup, it will last all day, until you remove it at night.
Q: What happens if I cry/sweat?
A: Don't worry, everything I use for weddings is waterproof, from the foundation to the mascara. Simply dab your eyes or forehead with a tissue, and keep on looking gorgeous!
Q: Can I bring someone with me to the consultation?
A: Yes, you may bring ONE (1) female relative OR friend with you to the consultation. Please do not bring CHILDREN/PETS/FIANCE, as it can sometimes be a lengthy process; it is best for all involved to be focused solely on YOU, the Bride, and your glamorous look for your special day! :) :)
Q: Is your pricing negotiable/are there any discounts?
A: Nope :) When it comes to hiring a beauty expert for on-location, personal services (not products), you definitely get what you pay for! When you hire me, you are hiring an experienced, licensed professional, that comes to YOU, and is an expert in Hairstyling, Skin Care AND Makeup Artistry. The level of skill and expertise that you can expect, is far superior to hiring your sister, your cousin, or a cosmetic sales-person from the mall. And, I promise, I will never, ever, try to sell you something on your wedding day! :)
